Welcome to Vitality Factor!

Vitality factor invites you to take a few minutes to relax and invest in yourself through our blog. Often times we short change our health, dreams and passion due to work/life imbalances. The daily grind becomes swayed towards making others dreams come true while setting ours on the back burner. The first sign of imbalance is often manifested by changes in our health. Anxiety, stress, worry and fear of not performing for others may lead to sleeplessness, high blood pressure, chronic elevated stress hormones. All of these factors can impact the heart and blood pressure and thwart the ability to manage a proper weight. Invest in your health, wellness & vitality by reading inspiring, motivational stories from others.

Who am I? 

I am a health, wellness & vitality coach from Saratoga Springs, New York. I offer one-on-one health & wellness mentorship and as a team, encourage  you to stretch beyond your current boundaries and access the greatness within. If you are not ready to employ a specialist, but want to take the first step towards improving your health and motivation, read the many ongoing supportive articles in this blog.

Why should you be interested?

My approach is unique in that it is not clinical nor therapy based. I do not seek to promote health & wellness from a punishing and negative perspective. My goal is to help you achieve what you can with what you have right now while focusing on progress, not perfection. To encourage you to trust in the process and not overwhelm yourself with unsustainable methods. I want you to learn to honor your body and mind through tenable lifestyle changes without rigid deprivation.

This blog highlights storied accounts of relatable people. People of all ages and walks of life! Individuals like you and I who agreed to share their experience, strength and knowledge in order to shed light on the tools you can start with to improve your health and mind. Some are educated in the aforementioned topics from their school of study and employment. Others have chronicled or in the process of journaling their actions. The most important aspect of every blog entry is the lifestyle change process. Focusing on enjoying the journey as well as the arrival. They all begin with a consistent theme: a decision to commit to their potential. Once they reach their goals, they reflect and look back to help others while reaching new heights.

If what you have been doing has been inconsistent and you have given up believing in your ability to attain your health and wellness goals, know that I can help change this. We are not born knowing what to do to get results in health and wellness. I followed the path to studying this field and I am fueled by the passion to help others realize their potential. My goal is to personally & professionally leave this world better empowered & connected. This legacy-mission is rooted in conviction of my purpose and fueled by passion to re/connect others to endless possibilities. From this vantage point and coupled with real life experiences, I motivate and inspire you in uncovering (and developing) viable strengths to reshape your life.

Don't believe in yourself?

You are not alone as resolutions fade after the first of the new year. Many people give up after another five pounds and breathlessness sidelined their efforts in a no-win holding pattern of negativity and depression.  The fact that you have read this far is a testament to your courage to change and as a team, we will uncover new and innovative ways to motivate you to the next level.

What about motivation?

Motivation may inspire, but it is commitment to believe that you can achieve all you desire that gets results.  Motivation is fleeting at best when we try on our own. It is internalizing new and healthy behaviors through a mentor that optimizes success.  When you have trouble believing in yourself, trusting a health and wellness coach to believe in you until you can is a great first step until you can. Once you start to believe, the opportunities to excel begin to pan out like gold.  One good action leads to another until you have built a new mindset of positivity. The rush of achievement is the tinder to fuel the internal drive we all have the ability to tap into. Give yourself permission to ask for a mentor through health and wellness coaching. Take control and personal accountability in being the best version of you.

Yeah, yeah. So what is my background?

My higher educational background began with a BS in Exercise Physiology/Adult Corporate Fitness. My internship focused on cardiac rehabilitation, pre/post pregnancy exercise, stress reduction meditation, exercise prescription & employee fitness.   I am currently in graduate school at SUNY Empire and pursuing Adult Learning while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

My additional continuing EDU includes the following areas:

Adult Heart Rhythm (ACLS)
First Aid, CPR, AED
Horse & Stable Management (Cornell)
EMT Training
Phlebotomy CEU(4.0 in class and National Certification)
EKG Technology CEU (4.0 in class and National Certification)

I have over 20 years of experience in biometrics data collection & consultation, weight management counseling & exercise testing & prescription.

I have been a professional dog handler & trainer, breeder & dog rescue. I am a Canine Good Citizen & Puppy STAR evaluator through the American Kennel Club. My experiences in competition & training with canines includes: tracking, obedience, agility,  conformation, temperament testing & rescue. I have served as a judge for club matches, board membership in specialty clubs, public edu, and training classes for canine competition in conformation as well as junior showmanship. I developed an innovative methodology to help people develop fitness along with their canine companions.
