Red Light Green Light Exercise - building confidence

When you pull up to a red light have you ever felt anxiety, stress or even cursed at it to "hurry up"? How does an agitated reaction help change this habituated response? Have you wanted to reduce the severity that comes from a face paced life and your reaction to it? Take a ride with me. I can show you how! Game changer ahead!

 If you could take a ride in my car as a  passenger, I would show you how the power of positive thinking can influence habit and change your life. For example, imagine we coast up to a red light. I tell you it will turn green while I visualize it happening. No need to curse, tense up or yell. I take a deep breath in and exhale slowly. I think to myself, GREEN. I imagine the light changing. Suddenly...

 See? I believed and so it became! 

How peaceful it is to have faith in your ability to increase the likelihood of success!  We may not have had people in place that nurtured our abilities to believe in ourselves and grew up snowballing into a lack of confidence. It is time to call upon the voice of confidence within bit by bit until you can turn all situations into green lights!

Look, you were doing something right to get to this point. Identify and draw upon the elements that helped you through tough times and call them forward to stand by you with resolve (resolution) for the purpose of supportive solidarity. When we have not habituated ourselves to reframe our abilities and value, it isn't easy to succeed. The good news it that the things that worked before are lessons propelling you to the next level. Realize what those attributes are and add them one by one and gain new ground.

Close the door on fear, anxiety and worry. Negativity will hijack strength potential for a free ride at the expense of your abilities and serenity if you allow it. Curb stomp them and leave them where they lay! Accept mistakes and see them as an opportunity to transform your life. Integrate the lessons learned and forgo being angry at mistakes you made!  When you do this, an internal advocate will root and will champion you towards progress. Your abilities and confidence will expand as you build a new mindset over time.

Next time you see those red lights to see them as green lights. No red light can stop you! Eventually, red lights represent the idea that you may rest if you must, but  green is coming right in front of you. Therefore, you must never give up or in! Keep it moving! One day at a time. Eventually the red  and green lights act as a signal to be mindful of where you are and where you are headed. The beginning of your new attitude for following your dreams. 

Shifting between the homeostatic balance of health and vitality without paralyzingly fear, anxiety and doubt have no place in your world. You are learning to pan for gold through employing habits and a mindset that graces you with yes-I-can success. Take yellow lights as a symbol of your health and mind signaling a need to be aware of balance and when to pause and recharge. Green is come on and lets go! Step into your dreams every single chance you have! If you don't have a chance, make one! The first step builds upon the next. You've got this. YOU DO!
